Airtightness work includes boundary design, sealing, leakage investigation and measurement. One participant may perform several roles, but those roles should be stated. Supplying a membrane does not establish the quality of every connection, and testing does not mean the tester installed the seals. Keeping responsibilities distinct helps readers interpret examples and reports accurately.
Ask about the method, building stage, opening preparation and internal-volume definition. Establish whether leakage location and retesting after repairs are included. Comparing n50 requires compatible definitions and conditions. A reading without preparation details may not answer the client's question even if the instrument is functioning correctly. The test result is not an assessment of everyday ventilation operation.
Before testing, identify who can access junctions and repair materials, how leak locations will be marked and how changes will be recorded. An intermediate test before finishes and a final verification serve different purposes. For a Network profile, useful evidence includes appropriately redacted reports and a description of the participant's role. No directory status replaces the agreed acceptance criterion for your building. Planning the sequence prevents a useful diagnosis from arriving after every repair route has been concealed.
Agree whether leaks can be repaired at the accessible stage and when results will be rechecked. A defect list and evidence of resolution are different records. A recommendation alone does not establish completed repair.
