Identify measured, documented and assumed inputs. If an uncertain parameter dominates the result, the next step is to establish it rather than add more decimal places to the output.
Vary one factor at a time and retain the starting conditions. The same result can come from different assumptions, so a number without inputs is hard to discuss. Battery runtime cannot check pump starting; wall resistance cannot assess a cold corner. Each tool explains its formula and exclusions, which define the limits of its usefulness.
Results can be saved without contact details. The link lasts 30 days and provides access to anyone who has it. PDF access requires email and consent, after which the file downloads from the site. Give a specialist both the result and the question it should help resolve. Design verification, equipment selection and certification need other methods and an agreed scope. A saved calculation is most useful as a shared record of assumptions, not as a substitute for those later checks.
