Before buying land, site consultation separates known conditions from questions requiring investigation. For a new house, individual design connects layout with the envelope and services. Where drawings already exist, an audit can examine inconsistencies before procurement and construction. These tasks need different inputs and should not quietly substitute for one another during a discussion about scope.

A model or an existing-building problem

Energy-balance work compares agreed alternatives; retrofit planning sequences changes around the actual condition of a building. Construction support focuses on execution questions and inspection stages. Autonomy work starts with critical functions and the interruptions they must withstand. Having solar panels or an insulated façade does not by itself identify which service is appropriate for the decision you face.

Make the output explicit

Describe the pending decision, current stage, available documents and known constraints. The agreed scope should name the output—an observation register, model, drawings or operating scenario—and its assessment limits. Timing, cost and supplementary investigations depend on that scope; this page makes no universal promises.
