Compare equivalent window configurations
Supplier offers can be compared only with matching geometry, opening arrangements and glazing. A profile name does not describe whole-window heat transfer. Request Uw for the ordered configuration, glazing properties and size limits. Clarify whether shading, external sills, internal boards and accessories are included: omissions affect the installation arrangement as well as price.
Assign the junction responsibilities
The window supplier and façade contractor need agreement on frame position, supports, seals and drainage. Establish who prepares the opening, accepts the substrate and completes the joint. A good window cannot correct a defective threshold or unsuitable reveal. Work examples are more informative when they show concealed connections and the participant's role, rather than only a finished façade with no installation context.
Retain order and service information
The order needs a specification, opening diagram, colour, dimensions and agreed installation scope. After fitting, check sash operation, seals and hardware access.
