Concept, architecture, structure and services answer different questions. Their coordination matters more than the number of attractive images in a package.
Concept design
The concept records spatial intent, placement, main volumes and priorities. It supports option selection but does not by itself contain every input needed for construction.
Architectural design
Architecture develops geometry, layouts, openings and envelope assemblies within the agreed scope. A window change affects loads, shading and installation as well as appearance.
Structure and services
Structural design checks load-bearing elements and foundations; services cover networks, equipment and controls. Coordinate penetrations and fixings across disciplines to avoid site conflicts.
Energy assessment
Energy assessment checks combined performance under defined conditions. It does not replace structural or electrical design; it helps communicate consistent loads and constraints between packages.
Package boundaries and mistakes
Stage names do not automatically promise every drawing. Agree deliverables, surveys, specialist calculations and change control; a missing discipline should not be hidden behind a general label.
