Examine what a profile actually claims

These guides explain how to read company profiles and prepare a Network submission. Directory presence, a checked fact and confirmed project experience carry different weight. Identify the subject of a claim: a contact, project role, competence in a task or recommendation. A broad reputation statement without scope cannot support a precise conclusion.

Match evidence to the statement

An official website may establish a public company description without proving an installation outcome. A photograph shows visible condition, a report records measurement under conditions, and a recommendation needs stated grounds. If a company supplied goods only, it should not automatically receive credit for every design decision. A clear role prevents one project's result from being extended to an entire service range.

Keep updates and relationships explicit

Profiles need review when contacts, activities or the basis of a status change. Commercial relationships should be visible separately from technical assessment. Payment or partnership neither proves nor disproves quality by itself. A useful correction identifies the old entry, new information and its source, rather than replacing the description with marketing copy that gives no account of the change.

Apply the method to your selection

Define the work scope and acceptance documents before approaching a participant. Read the relevant specialism pages and check the current directory profile. For a submission, prepare permitted material and evidence of your actual role. These guides explain information assessment; their publication does not raise any company's status. The distinction lets readers use the library to ask better questions without interpreting it as an endorsement of an unnamed provider.
