How ZeroHouse Separates Advertising from Technical Recommendation

Advertising, a directory entry and a technical recommendation mean different things. Readers should be able to see the basis of each claim.

Advertising and directory entries

Commercial placement presents an offer, while Listed indicates a profile exists. Neither alone proves a product or contractor suitable for your task.

Technical assessment

A comparison should state parameters, methods, conditions and limits. Identify manufacturer data as such; a calculation model is not presented as a field test.

Recommendation

Separate approval needs a defined subject and rationale. Current PNV and StroyAudit profiles are Listed, not Recommended; this article does not change their status.

Disclosure

A commercial relationship, payment or supplied sample relevant to a publication should be distinguished from its conclusion. A link alone is not evidence of a financial arrangement.

Corrections and enquiries

Send the page address, disputed statement and supporting source through the contact channel. Corrections concern specific facts; an enquiry does not guarantee automatic profile removal or acceptance of a claim.

What this means for your project

Read conclusions with their sources and status. If wording implies an unsupported endorsement, send the specific passage for review.
