Building Regulation Updates: ZeroHouse Monthly Review

The September 2026 review checks a specific update: DBN V.1.2-12:2026 on construction safety in dense development. This is not a complete register of all regulatory changes.

What is confirmed

The official E-construction edition states order No.155 of 30 January 2026, effect from 1 May 2026 and replacement of DBN V.1.2-12:2008. This review is dated 9 September 2026; the event was earlier, not this week.

Document scope

The document addresses additional requirements in dense-development conditions, including effects on neighbouring properties. It is not a new wall-resistance table or a rule determined solely by plot size.

For the designer

At initial review, compare the current edition with the brief’s references and assess applicability. Do not carry an old regulatory-reference template forward unchecked.

For the client

Ask the team which neighbouring structures and excavation conditions need investigation. Agree inspection, modelling and support scope explicitly; this publication does not automatically add them to a service.

What remains outside this review

No universal distances, deformation limits or applicability verdict for every house are given. Check specific provisions and subsequent changes in the full document for the project.

Next review

The editorial review target is 9 October 2026 and before use in a new project. This is a review target, not a promise of automatic monthly monitoring.
